What Is the Talefy AI Story Generator?
Talefy is an AI story game and roleplay app on the web, iPhone and Android, run by AIceberg Labs, Inc. You pick a story, make choices, and the AI writes what happens next, with pictures, video covers and read-aloud narration along the way.[4][10][9]
It also has a free one-box story generator page that says it needs no sign-up, plus a free character image generator. The interactive stories, which are the main product, need an account.[5][6][4]
What Talefy charges
Talefy's own site says prices "start from just $1.99", and talefy.ai/pricing returns a 404. Its Terms say the free plan lasts 3 days, and adding a card starts a 14-day trial. This is what we could confirm:[4][7][8]

The three web plans come from a July 2026 review by a rival app, and Talefy's own pages do not show them. At list price, the weekly Spark plan works out to roughly $120 a month.[10][11][13] Last verified: October 2026.
Why Users Are Leaving Talefy
1. The story locks early. The July 2026 review found free stories stop after about five steps, and a quiz on the way in leads to the paywall. App Store reviewers say custom choices also need payment.[13][10]
2. Coins to create a story. A Google Play reviewer in January 2026 says creating a story and editing its auto-filled fields both cost coins.[11]
3. Crashes that eat stories and coins. Android reviewers describe the app force-closing and losing a story along with the coins spent on it. Talefy's developer replies that coins lost this way can be refunded through support.[11]
4. "Story has been edited" lockouts. A paying App Store reviewer, spending about $30 a month, says this error locked them out of stories five or six times.[10]
5. Memory drift and the illusion of choice. The July review found details forgotten or invented in over half its tests about 20 steps later, and says the AI steers you back to its plot even when you refuse.[13]
6. A quiet app. The iPhone app has not been updated since August 16, 2026, and the Android app since July 30. A Google Play reviewer paid on the website, then found the app did not recognize the purchase and could not log in to cancel.[10][11]

Talefy's Terms say it is for adults only, and the App Store rates it 18+ for sexual content and mature themes. Its own story categories include adult tags. Google Play, though, rates the same app "Everyone".[8][10][11]
