OurDream has two plans: $19.99 a month, or $119.88 paid once a year, which works out to $9.99 a month. Both come with 1,000 DreamCoins a month, and the yearly plan adds 1,000 bonus coins up front. Subscribers chat for free. Free users pay 1 coin per message, and you can only buy more coins while you have a subscription.[4][5][6]

We read the year's top posts on r/ourdream_ai, OurDream's official subreddit, plus six full threads.
The mood changed in July. Before that, the top posts were mostly characters and small gripes. In July, they filled up with refusals. These are the five complaints that came up most.
1. Moderation got much stricter in July 2026. Long-time users say refusals started arriving mid-scene, certain words got flagged no matter the context, and fantasy characters stopped working. One user could not even generate a starting image from OurDream's own preset descriptions. OurDream's help desk admits its filter is "a bit too sensitive" right now and says it stays strict because of its payment providers.[10][11][12][13]
2. The chat AI got worse in August and September. Users describe replies that loop, repeat stock phrases and soften every character, so mean or dominant characters turn passive within a few messages. One user who praised OurDream for following custom instructions every time said it now misses them about half the time. Another said it is no longer fun and feels like extra work.[14][15]
3. Images are hard to steer, and rejects still cost coins. One creator counted 12 rejected images in a row for one face, about 150 coins for a single usable picture. Others say braids or ponytails were enough to get an image flagged.[16]
4. Coins run out fast. Free users report a paywall after about five messages. One yearly subscriber told others to find another app unless they want to pay up front for a year, like they did.[17][18]
5. Published characters get removed. Creators say characters were approved, then removed within a day, taking the chat logs with them. One was flagged as too youthful although the creator described her as 25.[19][20]
