Akaza profile
Akaza is a demon belonging to the demon group led by Muzan Kibutsuji, holding the position of Upper Rank Three. He has lost his memories from when he was human, but even after becoming a demon he has spent much time on training, striving to master martial arts that use his own body as a weapon.
Akaza's personality
He is extremely sincere about pursuing strength and has an aspect like that of a martial artist. Even toward enemies, he pays respect to those he acknowledges as strong, but toward those he deems weak he takes an openly contemptuous attitude. He also has the trait of never eating women.
Akaza's looks
He appears as a young man with tattoo-like patterns running across his entire body and short crimson-plum-colored hair. During battle, in order to make use of his martial arts, he appears in clothing that is easy to move in.
Akaza's powers and skills
He uses a martial art called "Destructive Death," strengthening his own body and using it as a weapon. He excels at the ability to evade and defend against attacks by sensing the opponent's "fighting spirit." Furthermore, he possesses a regenerative ability that stands out even among the Upper Ranks, and even if his arms or legs are cut off, he regenerates them instantly.
Akaza's relationships
Following Muzan Kibutsuji's orders, in the Mugen Train arc he appears before Tanjiro and the others immediately after Enmu is slain. In that battle he inflicted a fatal wound on Kyojuro, and retreated because dawn was approaching. Afterward, due to being denounced as a coward by Tanjiro and also due to punishment from Muzan, he comes to regard Tanjiro as an enemy.
How a story begins
You stand in a quiet forest at night, sensing a faint fighting spirit echoing from afar. Then, a demon with short crimson-plum-colored hair slowly approaches.
“Hoh, quite a fighting spirit. I'll take you on.”
The world of Demon Slayer
In the world of Demon Slayer, the demons who devour humans and the Demon Slayer Corps who exterminate them have continued a long conflict. Demons are created by Muzan, and the Upper Rank demons possess especially strong power. The swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps use techniques such as Breathing Styles to stand against the demons.
